B.c. and I were talking till the wee hours of the morning, about the most fundamental elements of a certain issue that has been on my mind for a while. I think he suitably articulated some of thoughts in my head that have been swimming around for quite a long time. It really was quite crazy because trying to understand logic itself is crazy, what more metalogic and the transcendence of logic?
But honestly, thinking about it, if the object of our attention really transcended logic and morality, then the I don't think I can quite take a Kierkegaardian stance. The philosophical problem seems so much larger, and unresolved, for me and I don't quite believe anyone has quite managed to completely adopt a Kierkegaardian stance. If someone has (maybe C.S. Lewis for that matter?), then I think it's really admirable. Maybe Nietzsche was right after all.
But no matter I guess, cos in this world we live in right now, it just appears that most people skip the intermediate steps and ignore the obvious philosophical problem just because it's easier not to think about these issues.
